We're excited to welcome you to our website a new chapter in the journey of The Barons' War introducing a New Range of Miniatures and the Warhost Fantasy Rules!
The story began back in 2020, during the first COVID-19 lockdown, when I started working on The Barons' War Rules. What began as a passion project to support a range of medieval miniatures that I asked Paul to sculpt a year earlier, quickly evolved into something much bigger. At that time, we had no grand plans for a complete set of rules; it was simply a way to combine our love for medieval history and miniature gaming. But as we launched our project on Kickstarter, we soon realised our growing community was hungry for more than just miniatures—they wanted rules to play with them. And so, we embraced the challenge.
Fast forward almost five years, and we're in awe of how The Barons' War has grown. With over 10,000 copies of the core rulebook sold, two supplements released, and a thriving community, we couldn't be more grateful for your support.
As the community expanded, the idea of creating a fantasy version of the game began to take shape. This has been a dream of mine since childhood, and working with Paul and the incredible concept art from Peter Dennis and Marco Capparoni, we've poured countless hours into bringing this project to life. Our goal from the start has been simple: to create something that feels tangible, as though it could exist in its own world. We hope this fantasy setting will be as immersive and engaging as the medieval one that started it all.
And now, we're proud to introduce Warhost—our new fantasy skirmish game. While it shares its roots with The Barons' War, and you need a copy of the rulebook, Warhost is designed to stand apart with its own identity. While we're still in the early stages of development, we've got a rough outline and plenty of exciting ideas, and we're eager to start sharing our progress with you. With Warhost, we're stepping into a rich, evolving fantasy universe, and we're excited to have you join us on this journey. We can't wait to see where this shared adventure takes us.
We're also thrilled to announce our new 28mm fantasy miniatures range! These miniatures carry the same level of detail and craftsmanship you've come to expect from The Barons' War, now brought to life in an entirely new fantasy world.
We hope the Warhost rules and the new miniatures will ignite your imagination and lead to countless epic battles on your tabletop. As always, we'll continue developing this world with your feedback, working together to create the best experience possible.
