Copyright & Printing Information for STLs
The files provided include an unsupported STL that you can modify for 3D printing and a supported version of the STL that matches the one we use in production. When a building is printed in multiple parts by us, we have included the option to print either as separate components or as a single piece.
Many factors can affect the results of your print. Knowing your machine and its quirks is essential to getting the best results.
The world of 3D printing is both exciting and daunting. We have invested many hours testing and experimenting to achieve the best results from our machines.
Many factors can impact the results of a print, from humidity to FEP tension and even the type of resin used and the screen type of the machine.
We encourage everyone using these files to research and understand the ins and outs of their machines to achieve the best possible results.
New to printing?
If you are fairly new to 3D printing, then we highly recommend watching these ChiTuBox tutorials by 3D Printing Pro:

Which Machine
We use Epax Printers to produce pre-printed kits, specifically a combination of the Epax X1-K and the Epax X10 mono. They selected these machines for their build quality and ability to print day in and day out.
The models have been designed for resin printers with a build volume of 115 x 65 x 155 mm (4.5 x 2.6 x 6.1 inches) in mind.
ChiTuBox
ChiTuBox is the software that most people use to prepare files for printing, and it is what we have utilised to set up files for production. These production files are the pre-supported options we have included, as we know they are effective for us. The settings we generally use on our Epax machines are as follows:
- Bottom layer count 4
- Exposure 25 sec
- Lift speed 80mm/min
- Standard layer height 0.05
- Exposure 1.9 sec
- Lift speed 100mm/min
We stress that this is only a guide, and your machine or situation may require different settings.
Temperature
This will depend on your resin; however, it is best to maintain a constant temperature in the area or room where your machine operates. If your machine is in a loft and you print overnight, you may find a misprint the following day caused by the temperature difference during the printing process.
